It is with great excitement that The Dallas Film Society brings to you the TXU Energy Fast Forward Video Contest, a student video contest focused on the future of energy efficiency and energy conservation. The contest begins now and runs through the month of January; submissions are to be submitted the week of February 1 – 5, 2010 online at txu.com/fastforward. Please click here for the contest summary document, outlining the scope of the contest, the opportunities for the winners to participate in the 2010 DALLAS International Film Festival. Sizeable cash prizes will be awarded to the top three high schools and university film programs. The finalists of the TXU Energy Fast Forward Video Contest competition will be invited to attend the 2010 DALLAS International Film Festival where they will have the opportunity to walk the red carpet with other filmmakers in attendance, attend a private meet-and-greet with celebrities as well as the Awards Ceremony where TXU Energy will announce the rank of the winning videos of the competition! Finalists will also have the opportunity to participate in a Q&A session with the audience following each block of videos screened during the Festival. This will be a statewide competition.
